Welcome To Sussex LGBT
At Sussex LGBT+ we are dedicated improving the lives of LGBT+ people through the events and social groups we run.
We are continuously looking to create more safe spaces within Crawley and the surrounding areas by working with local businesses and organisations, by doing this we aim to raise awareness of and educate on the struggles the community faces.
This will raise the identity of Crawley being a more accepting place to live. Our flagship Pride event takes place annually in August to celebrate the amazing diverse community we have here.
The Team

Vincent
Director and Company Manager
Co-founding CrawleyLGBT CIC has been such a rewarding journey. Now event managing the company, I am overjoyed by its community success. Crawley is a beautifully diverse town, but too often, the LGBT+ community is left without a voice. Creating safe spaces and a sense of belonging in the town where I grew up is a true passion of mine.

Julie
Director and Finance Manager
Growing up when I was at school there was no support for the LGBT+ community, I knew so many people that needed support. I’m so pleased that I can support so many people in so many different ways.

Matt
Director
I am a solicitor and I specialise in helping families plan for the future. I have a particular interest in helping those in the LGBT community.
I am relatively new to Sussex and so I wanted to get involved in something local like Crawley LGBT to support the community and I am looking forward to playing a part in that.

Luke
Director
As both a resident and business owner within the Horsham district, I am keen to help develop support for the LGBTQIA+ community. I have worked with people from diverse backgrounds over the years and am excited to meet and support people within the Horsham area.

Skye
Community Engagement Officer
I joined to be a role model. I'm proud of who I am and want to give others the confidence to be themselves to. I also want to help provide opportunities for the LGBT+ community to get support and be heard. It's time to be the change I want to see in world.

Hayley
Safe Space
Co-ordinator
I joined Crawley LGBT because I understand, through lived experience, how important it is to have safe spaces and able to be yourself. This experience led me to take on the role of Safe Space Coordinator. In this role I can help to provide a confidential, non-judgemental space where people can talk openly, feel heard, and access support.

Chris
Advisory Council
I joined Crawley LGBT to actively promote safety, reassurance, and professional standards within our community’s safe spaces. My goal is to use my experience to help ensure environments where people can feel secure, supported, and free to be themselves, without fear or compromise
